Team 8120 the Electric Hornets is a team ran through Kirtland High School. Each year, we compete in a challenge where we must design, program, and build a robot to complete the given tasks. The 2015–2016 season proved to be incredibly successful for our team. We became the first team from our school to win the 1^st Place Inspire Award (Kent Regional Qualifier) and advance to the Ohio state championship. In our 2016-2017 season, we have won the Motivate Award (Tri-C Regional Qualifier), the Connect Award, Promote Award, Compass Award, 3^rd Place Inspire Award, and were the first pick in the finalist alliance (Kent Regional Qualifier). We also attended the state championship tournament.
